Igloo

A performance especially for pre school children

Sometimes you don’t get what you want, even when you’re made to wait… Sometimes what you end up with is something even better…

Igloo is a non-verbal, playful experience filled with warmth, sensation and gentle exploration, suitable for babes in arms and pre-schoolers aged 0-3 accompanied by their carers.

This performance will be seated on benches/carpet around the performance area in a relaxed manner, capped at 70 people. The show will run for 30 minutes with no interval.

When the show finishes there will be a further 10 minute facilitated ‘stay and play session’.

Anticipation is building for Ira and Sadie. How can they build an igloo
if there isn’t any snow? They need it to snow. They want it to snow.

But sometimes you don’t get what you want,
even when you’re made to wait…

and wait…

and wait…

Sometimes what you end up with is something even better…

Igloo is a playful experience filled with warmth, sensation and gentle exploration, suitable for babes in arms and pre-schoolers aged 0-3 accompanied by their carers.

The performance is non-verbal, but the play session contains some words. Audience members will also be given an Igloo picture book and other creative ideas to enable families to continue with creative play at home.  TCAT is delighted to once again be subsidising tickets for children’s theatre, with this show costing less than £9 for an adult and child to attend.

“FANTASTIC! My daughter (8 months) loved it – mesmerised & sat still watching in a way I’ve not seen before! I equally loved it. The actors non-verbal emotion & sensory stimulus was excellent!”
