Outdoor theatre returns to Tiverton on Sunday 28th June 2026, as we welcome The Festival Players back to TCAT.

One of Shakespeare’s earliest and wildest farcical plays, The Comedy of Errors tells the story of twin sons and their twin servants, separated in a shipwreck.

The play explores themes of identity, mistaken identity, and family as we find out what happens when the twins unknowingly find themselves in the same town on the same day. The ultimate recipe for chaos!

Confusion and mishap ensue as no one can tell the twins apart, husbands appear to be in love with the wrong person, debts refused to be paid and servants lock masters out of their own homes. It is a race against time to solve this biological puzzle!
