Tiverton Concert Band can trace its history back to 1944 with the forming of the Tiverton Youth Orchestra under Ron Davey MBE. In 2003 the current concert band format was formed and 15 years later now boasts a membership of over 40 musicians of all ages and levels, and is proud to be encouraging Tiverton’s young musical talent. Instrumentation includes Woodwind, Brass and Percussion with what could be the most comprehensive selection of percussion instruments for any band in Devon!

They span the 50+ years right from the Peter Green Blues era through their multi-million selling West Coast Rock ‘Rumours’ incarnation (after the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to the line-up), onto the hit-packed, glossy 80s production, ‘Tango In The Night’ plus the triumphant resurgence brought about by 1997’s live comeback, ‘The Dance’.

Agatha Christie was one of the greatest thriller writers of all time and certainly the most prolific. In 1926, she was at the centre of a mystery as perplexing as any of her fiction, a series of events which sparked one of the biggest and most extensive police hunts in history. Her crashed car was discovered in Surrey and the famous author was missing, presumed dead by many, for eleven days. However, she was eventually found at a luxury hotel in Harrogate. She claimed then, and for the rest of the life, that she was suffering from amnesia and remembered nothing. Neither the press nor the police believed her.
