Concert in aid of Chernobyl Children's Lifeline

Join us for an exciting musical evening with a variety of musical styles covering stage, screen, jazz & blues plus traditional brass band favourites.

Featuring the City of Exeter Railway Band, along with one of our favourite local choirs, Take Note  Community Choir who will present a selection from their upcoming Edinburgh Festival Fringe programme.

Exeter Railway Band have undergone a revival of interest in recent years, with an influx of new members and successes in local and national competitions. This has just seen them gaining promotion following the recent regional qualification contest for The Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

Take Note Community Choir are looking forward to their first appearance at the internationally popular Edinburgh Festival Fringe event. They are performing three concerts at The Fringe, entitled “Devon Knows How They Make It So Musical”. We look forward to their preview performance.

The concert is raising funds for Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline, providing recuperative breaks in Mid Devon for the children of Belarus, still affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, over 30 years later.

Visit www.ccll.org.uk/ho/ for information on the charity and their continuing work with the families of those affected.
