Members of the band will be joined by friends from other local brass bands to put on this concert in aid of Cancer Research, in support of local mum Leah Gale, daughter of their principal Euphonium player Mandy. Come and join Tiverton’s popular Concert Band for an exciting evening of popular music. Tiverton Concert Band can trace its history back to 1944 with the forming of the Tiverton Youth Orchestra under Ron Davey MBE. In 2003 the current concert band format was formed and 15 years later now boasts a membership of over 40 musicians of all ages and levels, and is proud to be encouraging Tiverton’s young musical talent. Instrumentation includes Woodwind, Brass and Percussion with what could be the most comprehensive selection of percussion instruments for any band in Devon!
EXE VALLEY ROTARY CLUB Presents a concert raising funds for local children’s & Rotary charities featuring: The Caerphilly Male Voice Choir with guest female soloist Caerphilly Male Voice Choir was formed in 1906. Their initial aim was to raise funds to improve local facilities in South Wales. Having grown in membership the Choir is now a registered charity and supports charitable aims across the country. Having sung in many prestigious venues including Cathedrals, the Royal Albert Hall and Westminster Abbey we are very pleased to welcome them to Tiverton. We are proud to welcome to Tiverton this great evening of nostalgia, with Sixties group The Dreamers, joined by The Temple Brothers with their special tribute to USA Legends The Everly Brothers. The members of The Dreamers are Alan Mosca, Bryan Byng, Colin Temple and Steve Temple Alan Mosca and Bryan Byng have been members of the Dreamers for over 38 years. Their history speaks for itself, having been part of Freddie and the Dreamers and of the band that contained a true superstar of the Sixties, Freddie Garrity.
