TCAT are delighted to welcome back The Festival Players Theatre Company, a professional theatre company delivering the best in open-air Shakespeare, committed to presenting the very best in touring theatre. The company continues to grow in reputation internationally. 2014 saw a change to the Festival Players set up; the company now tours as an all-male rep company staging two shows featuring the same team of performers.
The 2018 touring production is THE WINTER’S TALE. Written by Shakespeare in his later years, The Winter’s Tale is an intriguing mix of drama and comedy.
Tiverton Concert Band can trace its history back to 1944 with the forming of the Tiverton Youth Orchestra under Ron Davey MBE. In 2003 the current concert band format was formed and 14 years later now boasts a membership of over 40 musicians of all ages and levels, and is proud to be encouraging Tiverton’s young musical talent. Instrumentation includes Woodwind, Brass and Percussion with what could be the most comprehensive selection of percussion instruments for any band in Devon!
We are proud to welcome to Tiverton this great evening of nostalgia, with Sixties group The Dreamers, joined by The Temple Brothers with their special tribute to USA Legends The Everly Brothers.
The members of The Dreamers are Alan Mosca, Bryan Byng, Colin Temple and Steve Temple
Alan Mosca and Bryan Byng have been members of the Dreamers for over 38 years. Their history speaks for itself, having been part of Freddie and the Dreamers and of the band that contained a true superstar of the Sixties, Freddie Garrity.
The early 1970s was the age of glam rock and the British Rock group The Electric Light Orchestra epitomised this time in music history with their unique symphonic rock style and unforgettable classics. Pop masterpieces such as Mr Blue Sky, Livin’ Thing, Turn to Stone, Sweet Talking Woman, Shine A Little Love, Hold On Tight, Confusion, Evil Woman, Telephone Line, Don’t Bring Me Down…to name just a few.

The Kast off Kinks are actual former members of the legendary band ‘The Kinks’, back together playing great music and re-living the good times whilst keeping the songs alive that made The Kinks a household name. This great line-up features Mick Avory (the original drummer on all the classic hits from 1964-84), John Dalton (bass/vocals, Kinks 60’s & 70’s), Ian Gibbons (keyboards/vocals, Kinks 80’s & 90’s and still with Ray Davies) with Dave Clarke (guitar/vocals, formerly of the Beach Boys, Noel Redding & Tim Rose).
She’s a regular on ‘Mock The Week’ and a much-loved figure on ‘Live At The Apollo’, as well as being all over Radio 4 – for whom she’s making her very own series in 2018, after extensive stints on ‘The News Quiz’, ‘Just A Minute’, ‘The Now Show’ and plenty more.
